Focusing on the cases of Morocco and Tunisia, articipants will reflect on  the different forms that secularism takes in Maghreb as well as the models of secularism that inform Maghrebi politics and culture.  The session is co-sponsored by Stanford Humanities Center, Center for African Studies, and the Taube Center for Jewish Studies.
